Doyle Downs Cedarbrook...Again
For the second time in 8 days Dan Doyle and the Warriors beat the Angels 6-1 at Jenkintown H.S. The Warriors got 2 runs early in the game and never looked back. They used small ball to perfection again and manufactured runs getting bunts down, taking walks and also getting hit by pitches. Nick Farello continues to swing a hot bat and Mike Corrigan added 2 hits. The fielding was also solid tonight with strong efforts from Rob Steck (who did a great job handling Doyle behind the plate), Sean McClosky and Brandon Roman. The Warriors have won 5 straight games and look to stay hot against Roslyn on Friday night.
Warriors Take 2 from Morelanders
On a picture perfect Sunday afternoon at Munro Park Warminster swept a double header from the Morelanders. In the first game Brian O'Grady pitched 8 innings, but got the no-decision. The game was won 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th inning when Scott Keeble put down a squeeze bunt allowing Steve Gardner to score the winning run. Dan Doyle notched another win by pitching a scoreless 9th inning.
In game 2 the Warriors had an offensive onslought scoring 8 runs and winning the game 8-3. Matt McAllister pitched a complete game throwing 118 pitches. Nick Farrello, Cameron Goodell and Brandon Roman all had good days at the plate. Next up for Warriors is Cedarbrook on Tuesday June 9th at Jenkintown High School.

Warriors Down Cedarbrook
The Warriors have won their 2nd straight game with an 8-2 drubbing of the Cedarbrook Angels; behind a strong pitching effort from the player of the game Dan Doyle. Doyle pitched 5 2/3 innings throwing 108 pitches and giving up only 1 run. He also had a solid night at the plate getting on base 4 times, going 3-3 with a walk. With the game being 1-0 in favor of the Warriors, Scott Keeble delivered a 2 out 2 run double to make the game 3-0 which is all the offense the guys would need. Cedarbrook fought back getting 1 run in the bottom of the inning cutting the lead to 3-1. In the top of the 7th the warriors blew the game open scoring 5 runs and putting the game out of reach. Sean McClosky and Steve Gardner also put in strong performances at the plate getting 2 hits each. Mike Calhoun came into the game to complete the excellent pitching performance from Doyle. The Warriors will be in action again on this Thursday against Horsham.

Rough Start
The warriors have won the regular season crown the last 3 seasons. The records of these seasons have been 17-4 in 2006, 17-4 in 2007 and 18-2-1 in 2008. However this season has not started as well due to some of the players not being able to attend games because of their high school team being in the playoffs as well as some of the players being selected to the prestigous Carpenter Cup All-Star Team. Some of the younger players have stepped up early, but the team is still stuggling to get on a hot streak. There is plenty of season left so there will be time to make up the early struggles to try and secure and 4th consecutive regular season league title.
